Srinagar college holds anti-drug unity march

Srinagar, April 28: Department of Physical Education and College Well-Being And Anti-Substance Cell (CWASC) of Government College of Education (IASE), M.A. Road, Srinagar, in collaboration with the Nodal Principal, Kashmir Division Colleges, and the District Administration Srinagar, organized a Unity March Rally under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (NMBA) to spread awareness against substance abuse and promote a sense of collective social responsibility among students and the general public.

On the occasion, Prof. (Dr.) Seema Naz highlighted the objectives of the rally, stressing the crucial role of youth in building a drug-free society. She said such initiatives are aimed at sensitizing students about the ill effects of substance abuse and strengthening community participation in prevention efforts.
The rally commenced from Government College of Education, M.A. Road, Srinagar, and passed through Maulana Azad Road, Polo View, and the GPO, footbridge Raj Bagh and culminating back at the college premises.
The event witnessed wide participation from students, faculty members, and officials, reflecting strong support for the nationwide campaign against drug abuse.
Among those present on the occasion were Prof. Lateef Shah, Prof. Alaf Shah Syed, Prof. Shawana Manzoor, Arshad Sauleh, Daljeet Kour, Dr. Qazi Inam, and others.
