The Jammu & Kashmir Trade Promotion Organization (JKTPO), in collaboration with the District Industries Centre (DIC) Srinagar and Grant Thornton Bharat as the State Programme Implementation Unit (SPIU), successfully conducted the final District-Level RAMP Awareness Workshop at Government Polytechnic College, Bemina.
This 20th workshop marked the culmination of a month-long outreach campaign across all districts of Jammu & Kashmir under the Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) scheme. Over 70 stakeholders, including DIC and JKTPO officials, MSME entrepreneurs, PMEGP beneficiaries, ITI and Polytechnic students, and local business representatives, actively participated.
The SPIU team presented key features of the RAMP scheme, focusing on capacity building, access to credit, digital empowerment, skilling, market access, and strengthening of DICs. Special focus was placed on formalizing informal enterprises and promoting women entrepreneurship.
A major highlight was the facilitation of on-spot Udyam registrations by DIC Srinagar, enabling participants to avail government schemes and benefits.
The event also served as a platform for MSMEs to voice concerns and provide ground-level feedback. With this final workshop, JKTPO has significantly expanded RAMP awareness and engagement across the UT.
The RAMP scheme, supported by the World Bank and the Ministry of MSME, aims to boost MSME competitiveness and innovation. Jammu & Kashmir has been allocated ₹74.03 crore under the scheme—₹66.63 crore from the Centre and ₹7.40 crore from the UT government.
