June 20, 2026 | BK News Service

Kohima, June 19: Assam Rifles under Spear Corps is extending support to a National Cadet Corps (NCC) Battalion in Kohima, Nagaland, through the conduct of a Special Services Selection Board (SSB) coaching camp aimed at preparing cadets for careers in the Armed Forces.

A total of 52 NCC cadets are undergoing structured training during the camp, which focuses on developing key attributes required for selection as officers. The training module includes leadership development, communication skills, personality enhancement, and officer-like qualities.
The initiative is designed to familiarise cadets with the SSB selection process and build their confidence, discipline, and decision-making abilities. Experienced personnel from Assam Rifles are guiding the participants through interactive sessions, group tasks, and personality development exercises.
Officials said the programme reflects Assam Rifles’ continued commitment to youth empowerment and nation-building, particularly in the Northeast region. By providing mentorship and professional guidance, the force aims to encourage more young cadets to pursue careers in the Armed Forces.
The coaching camp also seeks to strengthen civil-military cooperation and inspire students to develop a sense of service, leadership, and dedication towards the nation.
