Anantnag, Nov 1: SSP Anantnag Shri Amod Ashok Nagpure-IPS convened a comprehensive operational and crime review meeting at DPO Anantnag to evaluate the prevailing security scenario, assess policing measures and take stock of the progress achieved in ongoing investigations.

The meeting was attended by ASP North Camp Ashmuqam Shri Rameez Raja, all SDPOs, SHOs and In-Charges of Police Posts. During the deliberations, the SSP undertook a detailed assessment of crime trends, investigation of registered cases, pendency of cases and preventive policing measures. He called upon the officers to ensure result-oriented policing, strengthen supervisory oversight and expedite investigations while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism.
Reiterating the district police's firm resolve against the drug menace, SSP Anantnag directed officers to intensify action against drug traffickers, peddlers and habitual offenders. He stressed the need for focused investigations, identification of drug supply networks and tracing of proceeds of drug trafficking, including properties acquired through illicit activities, for appropriate legal action. The SSP further stressed the importance of robust preventive measures, effective beat policing and swift action against anti-social elements. He directed all officers to maintain close coordination, ensure accountability and address public grievances promptly.
Concluding the meeting, SSP Anantnag urged officers to remain proactive and vigilant, strengthen field-level policing and work with dedication towards ensuring peace, security and a safe environment for the people of the district.
