Itanagar, May 11: The Spearhead Division under Spear Corps organised a special outreach programme titled “A Day with Soldiers at Border” for students and teachers of Menchuka Valley Public School in Menchuka, Arunachal Pradesh.

The initiative was designed to give young students a firsthand experience of life in the armed forces and to strengthen their understanding of discipline, teamwork, and national service. Soldiers engaged with students through a series of interactive sessions, games, and motivational activities conducted in a friendly and inspiring environment.
During the programme, troops shared insights into their daily life at forward locations, highlighting the challenges and responsibilities of safeguarding the nation’s borders in difficult terrain and weather conditions. The interaction aimed to instill a sense of respect for the armed forces and encourage students to develop qualities such as courage, confidence, and dedication.
Teachers accompanying the students also participated in the activities and appreciated the initiative for providing a unique learning experience beyond the classroom. They noted that such engagements help broaden the vision of students and motivate them towards constructive social contribution.
The event concluded with an interaction session where students asked questions about army life, training, and career opportunities in the defence forces. Soldiers encouraged them to pursue excellence in academics and physical fitness while also contributing positively to their communities.
The programme was widely appreciated as a meaningful effort to connect youth with the armed forces and inspire future generations to consider careers in national service.
