Suicide Is not a Solution

June 18, 2025 | Mir Ishtiyaq

Suicide a stair by which an individual ends his life, along with that it also takes away the cheerfulness of their loved one's. In my opinion suicide has become a mania for today's generation. Suicide is occurring in every corner of the world. No one wants to face problems. Problems come everyone's life but that doesn't mean that everyone will commit suicide.

Most of the mankind commit suicide after mislaying from life. Some people indulge in drug addiction or some other menace. The moment a person becomes uncontrollable and he commits suicide. Most of the people today become a victim of depression. Depression can be of any type. Someone gets depressed because of studying. Someone gets depressed because of bullying. Main reason of depression and suicide is money and i think near about 70% people in our Kashmir valley commit suicide due to deficiency of money in order to accomplish their basic necessities of life.
I would like to put some data here. It had been estimated in 2000- 2024 in India suicide rate was 12.70 that is alarming at an increasing rate. Cases are coming with unexpected pace.We can't say depression is the only reason but there are many reason like some people become fed-up with responsibilities. Some people become suicide due to overthinking about problems and that leads to depression and then these thoughts hit you callously.
This problem is not only in our Kashmir valley it lies in every corner of the world.
In my sense I am also along among those affected people, if I am alive, I have been kept alive to face the problems, but that doesn't mean that I will take an indictable step. Every problem has a solution, just have to find a way. Nothing is impossible.

Learn to be Patient

Patience is the name that is too miniscule to say but it's depth is too big to some extent. As far as i'm concerned, I think I have lived my whole life in patience, I have to be patient even if it's the smallest thing or some something else. I have been patient in every way. Almighty Allah says in the Quran(إِنَّ اللَّهَ مَعَ الصَّابِرِينَ)
indeed Allah is with those that are patient. No matter how big a problem a person has, he just needs to be patient and trust Allah. He is the one who causes problems and He is the one who provide solution for them. And I do remember the quote which is (Every problem comes with a solution) all we need is to be patient.

Conclusion

If negative thoughts hit your mind, you should cogitate about those people whose circumstances are deteriorated than you and they are still struggling.
Suicide is not the solution of every problem, it just put end to your life and nothing else changes. Together we can do things better and we should always be kind to others because kindness costs nothing. If anyone is depressed and dejected then we should always be helpful, sometimes we just need someone to listen to us.
