Srinagar, September 10: A surprise Cordon and Search Operation was conducted in the SD Colony area of Batamaloo in Srinagar on Thursday by joint teams of Jammu and Kashmir Police and the Central Reserve Police Force.

According to sources, security personnel carried out house-to-house searches in the locality as part of the operation.

During the searches, security personnel checked the identity cards of residents and conducted frisking. Personnel were also deployed at various points across the area while searches continued inside residential premises.

The operation was carried out as part of security measures in the area.
