T20 cricket tournament inaugurated by Police in Shopian concluded today with a clourful ceremony at Bhatpora Stadium Shopian.
32 cricket teams participated in the tournament. The final match of the tournament was played between Shopian Poshers and Keller 11 which was won by Keller 11 by 5 wickets. Batting first, Shopian Poshers set a target of 129 and the Keller 11 chased it easily in 15 overs after losing 5 wickets.
During post-match ceremony, SSP Shopian Ms Tanushree-IPS distributed cash prizes and trophies among winners and runner up teams. The final was also witnessed by SP DAR Shopian, DySP Hqrs Shopian, SHO Keller, SHO Shopian and a huge number of spectators & sports lovers of the district. Moreover, a good number of students from different schools were also present on the occasion.
On the occasion, SSP Shopian impressed upon all the participants and players to take active participation in the programmes organised by Police as it is a mean to boost the morale and personality of the individual. Besides, promotes and develop sports temper among young budding generation.
DySP Hqrs also in his speech, impressed the youth to focus on sports and games for developing personality.
Pertinently, the tournament was inaugurated by SSP Shopian Ms Tanu Shree-IPS at Sports Stadium Bhatpora Shopian and was going on from last one month.
