Shopian, Aug 28: The Inter District Divisional level Table tennis for boys and girls was inaugurated at Indoor Sports Stadium Shopian.

The championship was formally inaugurated by MLA Shopian, Shabir Ahmad Kullay who graced the occasion as the chief guest.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA appreciated the efforts of the Department of Youth Services and Sports in promoting sports and providing opportunities to young boys and girls to excel in different sporting disciplines. He encouraged the participating players to play with dedication, discipline and true sportsman ship. He also laid special focus on hardworking and advised the players to work hard to represent themselves at National level.
In the event U17, around 50 girls across districts of Kashmir division participated with zeal and zest.
