Srinagar, June 26: MLA Zadibal Tanvir Sadiq on Friday said that Ashura serves as a powerful reminder of the supreme sacrifice of Imam Hussain (A.S.) for truth, justice, and righteousness, describing it as a timeless message for humanity.

In his message on the occasion, he said the events of Karbala continue to inspire generations across the world, urging people to stand firm against oppression and uphold the values of truth and moral courage.
He also paid tribute to the courage and resilience of Bibi Zainab (S.A.), noting that her steadfastness and strength in the aftermath of Karbala, particularly during the tragic events of Shaam-e-Ghareeba, remain a source of inspiration for millions.
Tanvir Sadiq said the sacrifices made at Karbala represent universal values that transcend time, religion, and geography, and continue to guide humanity towards justice, compassion, and dignity.
He added that Ashura is not only a day of remembrance but also a call to reflect on one’s actions and commitment to truth and ethical conduct in daily life.
The MLA urged people to observe the occasion with peace, unity, and devotion, and to draw lessons from the life and sacrifice of Imam Hussain (A.S.) in building a more just and harmonious society.
