Srinagar, May 12: Tasleema Akhter, a noted human rights defender and peace advocate from Jammu and Kashmir, continues to work for the welfare, dignity and rehabilitation of terror victims through her organisation, ATVK TRUST (Association of Terror Victims in Kashmir).

As Chairperson of the Trust, Tasleema Akhter has been actively raising awareness about the struggles faced by victims of terrorism and vulnerable sections of society, while advocating for peace, non-violence, social justice and community harmony.
Her work focuses on promoting human rights awareness, women empowerment, education, peacebuilding and rehabilitation initiatives aimed at supporting families affected by violence and conflict in Jammu and Kashmir.
Believing strongly in the ideals of humanity, unity and nation building, she has consistently encouraged youth and communities to rise above fear, hatred and division and contribute towards building a peaceful and inclusive society.
Through various outreach programmes and awareness campaigns, ATVK TRUST has been working to highlight issues related to justice, dignity and long-term rehabilitation of terror victims, while also supporting efforts aimed at strengthening communal harmony and social welfare.
