A Professor was fainted after unknown youth hurled fire crackers inside the class room at Government Degree College Bemina here in Kashmir capital Srinagar.
College sources said that a Professor was busy in delivering lecture to Chemistry students when unknown persons threw fire crackers inside the class room. The Professor according to sources was fainted while students ran for safety, even some of them jumped from windows.
An employee at the college said that it was the handiwork of some miscreants who tried to disrupt class work in the college. He said that Professor regained conscience after sometime.
Meanwhile, two students sustained injuries during group clashes inside Government Higher Secondary School, Zadibal here in Srinagar.
Official sources said that two youth suffered stabbing wound after two groups of youth clashed with each other over a matter. The injured youth whom police identified as Furqan Shafi Khan and Kamran Fayaz were shifted to hospital for treatment. Police have registered a case and set investigation into motion. (KNT)
