The Army has successfully conducted a large-scale Territorial Army (TA) recruitment rally across the Kashmir Valley, covering Kupwara, Baramulla and the JAK LI Regimental Centre, from November 8 to 27.
The event witnessed unprecedented participation, marking it as one of the most significant recruitment efforts in the region post-COVID-19.
The event as a "testament to the dedication and passion of Kashmiri youth toward nation-building." The rally provided a platform for aspirants to join the Territorial Army, symbolizing a collective shift toward peace and development in the Valley.
Thousands of candidates participated in the rally, driven by the desire to serve the nation. Families played a vital role in motivating the youth, with relatives often seen cheering them on during the physical tests. "The enthusiasm of the candidates and their supporters reflects the positive winds of change in the region," the spokesman said
The recruitment drive emphasized a fair and merit-based selection process. Candidates who cleared the initial physical tests will now proceed to medical examinations, written tests, and aptitude assessments, after which the final merit list will be announced.
