
Thannamandi, June 30: The much-awaited Open T10 Cricket Tournament was inaugurated with great enthusiasm at Thannamandi today. The inaugural ceremony was graced by the Principal of Government Degree College (GDC) Thannamandi, Shamim Azad Malik, who attended the event as the Chief Guest and formally declared the tournament open.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Guest highlighted the importance of sports in shaping the character of youth by promoting discipline, teamwork, fitness, and sportsmanship. He encouraged all participating teams to play with dedication and uphold the true spirit of the game.
A total of 32 teams from different areas are participating in the tournament, making it one of the biggest cricketing events in the region. The organisers have announced a cash prize of ₹35,000 for the winning team and ₹15,000 for the runners-up.
