The 23rd of August is celebrated as Space Day

August 24, 2024 | Sahil Manzoor

Space is so vast that one cannot imagine. Most of us get confused when we use a word space. To understand what space actually is, we have to read authentic theories of science. Science is the discipline where every micro- to gigantic object, living organisms, is examined in various aspects. There are people on this blue planet or earth that are illiterate, not having adequate knowledge of how days and nights caused, how seasons caused, that they get scared when the sky thunders and lighting makes us so scared, and there are people who have lived in space for months that are too thousand kilometers away from us. It means we are all humans, but different people have different talents; some are less skilled, and some are doing miracles for the motherland and for the whole of humanity.

Today, we have advanced technology. Today is the era of artificial intelligence (AI). When we think for a while about artificial intelligence, it looks like every task is so easy for AI. So it is very hard for humans to keep their jobs spare. In the future, it has been said that AI may do all the tasks that humans do. But we have kept in mind that, naturally and psychologically, humans change themselves as per their surroundings. Humans have super-brains. Every invention, every miracle, and all the technologies are only possible because of human minds. Humans have the potential, at any level and at any time, to find a way out.
Today in this article, I am going to explore little things about the space day. His Excellency Shri Narendra Modi declares August 23 as the national space day to commemorate the success of the Chandrayaan-3 landing on August 23, 2023. India is celebrating the maiden national space day with the theme ‘’Touching lives while touching the moon’’.

Why was August 23 Declared National Space Day ?

Every great invention and great success needs the hard work and dedication of centuries. India is making new achievements in the science and technology fields. By encouraging youth from the primary school level to the university level and then having different research programs through them, every individual has great opportunities to become a scientist at any level. Great success needs the patience, perseverance, and dedication of great scientists.
August 23 is celebrated as Space Day because it falls on this day in the year 2023. Chandrayaan-3 landed on the moon successfully. This day has great importance for the whole country, and the nation salutes and praises all the great scientists who made the dreams of the nation true. Nations never forget their great successes and remember them forever.

What is Chandrayaan-3 ?

The Chandrayaan comprises two Sanskrit words, which mean ‘’ Chandra means moon, and Yaan means vehicle or craft. Chandrayaan has given our country great and worldwide publicity in the field of space engineering. When this miracle happened, India got applauded for being one of the great countries in space engineering and gained new identification among the great countries in the world.
From now on, August 23rd will get a new identification, and we may celebrate in a great way.
Suggestions
Every great day will be observed or celebrated with great joy and with full zeal and enthusiasm throughout the country, like Space Day and other special days.
Schools, colleges, and universities should be equipped with all the basic facilities. Every educational institute should be provided with science laboratories; relevant books should be given to students. Every complex concept should be provided to learners in a very simple and effective way.
Science has great and numerous goals for the future world. News channels should launch an attractive science program where every achievement of the nation as well as the world should be disseminated among the learners on a daily basis. Renowned scientists should be interacted with by learners so that they will get boosted and encouraged to do great things for the nation.
