The exams for JKOSE and CBSC are going to start from this week in the country and Kashmir and the participants in these exams are almost 50 lakh students across the country, the time of exams is crucial for not only students but also for the parents as well, the children focus hard on exams they try their level best but some times children get pressurized due to the high expectations of the parents from their children, every parent wishes to see their child as the topper later on it creates mental pressure on the students and later on they are caught in depression were from they hardly find them, selves to return back. And sometimes the children try to suicide for not becoming the toppers. in 2024 national crime record bureau(NCRB) in the survey student suicide and epidemic India it is said that suicidal rate in India has gone up drastically, it is said that the children with age group of 0-24 in has dropped from 684 million to 681 million similarly the suicide rates for the same age group are gone up from 6654 to 13044 these numbers indicate us that we don’t have to change the academic activities of students but also the social lives as well particularly on the mindset of the children we have to act upon very fast we have to tell their parents that to fail in the exams doesn’t mean it was their last chance in their life but something other is waiting for them to be the best also the completion of becoming toppers among students had affected their lives in other ways like the potential they could have shown on other fields is not inheriting from them they are unable to show their real potential only for the race of becoming the toppers. I today’s times education is used as a tool to get a job but it is to so education prepares a person to be mentally, emotionally to be ready for the ups and downs of the life it teaches how to live all the life with great enthusiasm and to face all the hardships and pros and cons Nalanda University and Takshashila University one established in Bihar and other in Pakistan then India in 5th BC have taught their students how to live their life with full of true morals and basic ethics of life that is why the students from all over the world were coming to India to get the best education from here we have to follow the teachings of the university in our schools colleges, personal lives as well so that our students studying to create the topper’s will stop and it will make a way for them to ease out for the best in their future lives.

If a child is not interested in studying let him have another option were he can perform better than the academics, a parent should put 10 options for a child to choose among them to see what is the best he is going to opt among it what is his choice and when a student takes something were his interest lies defiantly he will be the best in that filed as it is because of his inner feelings ,it is not necessary we force our children to take science or math’s to become doctors and engineers but some children are best in sports let them take sports as their carrier options and some students are best in philosophy let the enjoy and study philosophy so what so ever their choice can be.
It is duty of the teachers as well to ask their students about various carrier options for them and also morally a teacher better knows how to lift a student up, he can give them the best examples of some of the weakest students who later on achieve some mile stone by hard work or the story of a failed student who later on become successful in the society there are thousands of examples for teachers in the society.
So, if a parent emphasizes of the real qualities and skills actually his child has, he should nurture them for their future growth rather he should prefer to pressure his child to become a topper some day while searching for the topper he may not see his child forever so it is better said better late than never.
