In the recent developments on social media we could perchance to see that a video reflecting a so called preacher exhibiting a pigeon on the sacred stage (Member-e-Rasool) went viral in which the preacher tried to give a demo to the audience in order to make them understand what he wanted to convey. The mockery reached its peak when he exhibited a pigeon while reciting a Naat (praising the prophet hymns) which is nowhere recommended in the scriptures or religious references of any kind. Although, the holy Quran has made a mention of animals in the holy Quran at various places, but nowhere ordains to the prophet to display those animals while preaching the message of Allah. Those illustrations are meant only to make the message very clear so that the ambiguity is avoided. It is evident from the whole discourse of Prophet Mohammad (pbuh) as a messenger that they used metaphoric and symbolic language to make people understand God’s message, but never compromised with the prophetic decency and standard whatsoever the circumstances had been.
The facts of faith include believing in one God and accepting his omnipotence and omnipresence. Having a firm belief that he has no partner and he no image/idol etc. He is not born of anyone and no one is born of him. This best definition of God is given in Suratul- Ikhlas. The second most component of Islam is the teachings and sayings of beloved prophet that we call Hadith. At the third rank appears the legacy of all the prophets and saints that works as a moral guide for us all to follow in order to lead a simple, pure and virtuous life. Islamic jurisprudence (Shariya) is a set of rules that govern our formal worship and the daily life discourse. The rules related to formal worship are prescribed in Quran and explained in Hadith. Further simplifications are given in Fiqas as laid down by various Ayema like Imam Abu Hanifa, Imam Shaafy, Imam Ahmad Bin Hambal and Imam Maalik etc.(May Allah bless them all). The matters related marriage, business, justice, accountability and truthfulness are very clear and simply comprehensible. There is no need to dramatize the things at a mosque or any other such place. Because, mosques are the places of worship and not dramatic theaters where the characters are supposed to play the role prescribed for them. Any sort of such dramatization undermines the sanctity of mosques or other places of worship.
The factual fallacy implies to produce such factual evidences that don’t match your arguments. And factual fallacy always is the result of intentional fallacy and affective fallacy that result in wrong evaluation and, miscalculation. When a preacher tries to exhibit such sort of facts while preaching he is just trying to dilute the faith of the people. And there are only two reasons behind this: one being insanity and the other is intention. Ab Gani Watarhali –has a pure intention to prove himself as the most knowledgeable and authentic person. He is juxtaposing the facts with myths. He designs are structured and he has some thought process in his mind that he wants to give a practical shape.
Let’s recollect what has been laid down in Quran and Hadith about such practices. There is no clear text in the Quran about the prohibition of musical instruments, however, there are some verses about which the interpreters of the Quran stated that they are evidence about their prohibition, among which is the Saying of Allaah (which means): {And of the people is he who buys the amusement of speech to mislead [others] from the way of Allaah without knowledge and who takes it [i.e. His way] in ridicule. Those will have a humiliating punishment.}[Quran 31:6] The expression ‘the amusement of speech’ in the verse was interpreted to mean musical instruments and singing. Also, the Saying of Allaah [addressing Iblees] (which means): {And incite [to senselessness] whoever you can among them with your voice…}[Quran 17:64], was interpreted to mean singing and musical instruments. Indeed, we have already issued Fataawa 81545 and 81239 clarifying that musical instruments are forbidden, so please refer to them.
As regards the ruling on dancing, if it is men dancing with non-Mahram women, or a woman dancing in a way that non-Mahram men can see her, then there is no doubt that this is forbidden for a Muslim. With regard to a woman dancing for her husband in a way that no one can see her, or a woman dancing in front of women in a way that men cannot see her, or men dancing without behaving like women, then this is permissible as long as this is not accompanied by a forbidden matter, like consuming intoxicants and music; for more benefit, please refer to Fatwa 81604.As for the impermissibility of a Muslim eating with a non-Muslim in the same utensil, then this is not correct; rather, it is permissible to eat and drink with a non-Muslim even in one utensil provided that the food is lawful and provided that it is not linked to forbidden matters.( source : Islamweb.net).
In what context music is allowed: Festivals & Joy: The Prophet allowed singing and drumming during Islamic festivals like Eid, viewing it as a form of expressing joy, a practice he endorsed when Abu Bakr initially protested its presence.Weddings & Celebrations: Singing and drumming were part of wedding celebrations and other joyful occasions.Specific Instruments: The Prophet permitted the use of certain instruments, particularly the duff (tambourine) during festive times, with reports of women playing it.
Why it is discouraged: Then Ibn 'Umarا said: “I saw the Messenger of Allāh (pbuh) place his fingers in his ears when he heard wind instruments and music playing.” as-Suyūtī said the example of Nāfi' is a proof that there is no sin upon the one who listens to music unintentionally. Distraction from God: Music that distracts from remembering Allah (God) or leads to heedlessness is discouraged, as highlighted in Quranic verses interpreted to refer to such "idle talk".Incitement to Vice: Music that promotes immoral behavior, intoxication, or lust is strictly forbidden."Flutes of Satan": The Prophet referred to some forms of music as the "flutes of Satan" (Shaytan) when they stir forbidden desires and take people away from piety.( internet)
Abu hurrairah(r.a) reported that prophet (s.a.w) saying the bell is a wooden wind musical instruments of satan.( Referenc : Sunan Abi Dawud 2556In-book reference : Book 15, Hadith 80 English translation : Book 14, Hadith 2550).
In this Ummah there shall be collapsing of earth, transformation and Qadaf. A man among Muslims said “O Messenger of Allah, when is that? Prophet said: when singing slave girls, music and intoxicants spread. (Reference: Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2212In-book reference : Book 33, Hadith 55 English translation: Vol. 4, Book 7, Hadith 2212).
There are various Ahadith that are negating the playing of music and singing and dancing. The so called scholars with a manipulated mind try to mislead the public citing the reasons that musical instruments are allowed. Although the context in which singing has been allowed is totally confused. First of all, Prophet (pbuh) allowed two girls singing on the occasion of Eid. Further the permission has been extended to special events like marriage etc.But not to the extent that the people will start playing music in mosques and Madrasas. Religious institutions are meant for religious purpose and not for any thought of school/any system/ any ism etc. Hence, I would like to conclude that the facts of the faith are totally different from the fallacy of facts that are often presented as a justifiable source. Animal photography and imagery is not recommended in Islam. None of the prophet’s speech records reveals that such sort of tactics might have been used. The public must be aware of these fraudulent fellows. In their private life they can go to any extent, but on institutional level such insane activities must not be tolerated. The preachers should be prevented from doing any such discourse that would hurt the sentiments of the people and mislead future generations.
