I have read the Quran. I have prayed in a mosque. I have written the soul of understanding of God in verses of understanding.
I know that my writing of God as a development of understanding would cause some to think before strapping on a suicide belt.
Ask Cameron who it is that has a new Philosophy a new understanding to stop the flow of extreme belief. There is none. Then ask him why he has stopped mine.
That is why a new understanding of the development of Islam, Christianity and all faiths is so important. Yet Cameron and Obama seem incapable of understanding that. So too Hillary Clinton. Their way is not working and a lot of people are dead because of that.
No it is not Islam that causes terror. It is the hypocrisy of all religions and their Government and leaders.
Growing up in a Muslim community in Kashmir I was taught the greatness of the Q’uran, and the Hadiths of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), but I was never taught about the differences in all the religions.
Today all I hear about Islam are things like “Do all Muslims worship Shariah Law?” or “Are all Muslims terrorists?” The only thing we correlate to is violence and terror. I always question why people are for attacking Islam. I always want say “What did we ever do to you?” But then I realize that in the Middle East/Europe, terrorists who claim to be Muslim kill people in the “name of Allah.” I never considered them Muslims, so it was hard for me to realize why we were getting hate. And I know that no matter how many times we say, “that’s not a true Muslim,” no one listens. Because they killed people in the name of God.
Here’s my answer. Yes, I think that Islam is a religion of peace. In the beginning of summer, I made a promise to myself that I would study the Quran and I would analyze it in order to learn more about Islam and become closer to my God, but after 2 siparahs I was so confused. I started learning short surahs (sections of Quranic verses) rather than the whole Quran as a whole, because I thought that would be much easier. I know that you guys don’t care about how my studies are going, but here’s what I learned. What everyone thinks is that Muslims are told to kill all nonbelievers, to punish people with different opinions, but what I learned is that it is not our job, and it never was our job to execute anyone for not being Muslim or for any reason really. Everything comes down to Allah. Allah will decide who will go to Heaven or Hell, Muslims or non-Muslims. Our job is to appreciate the life that Allah gave us, to have good morals and be good to our society and parents. I think that it’s not our responsibility to control other peoples culture and values. I also think that’s why I never considered those terrorists to be Muslims. Also similar to Christians or Jews, our job is to show people our religion, the true meaning of Islam.
Nouman Ali Khan is a really great speaker and I recommend you all listen to him at least once, my favorite video is his lecture about surah Ar-Rahman, which is my favorite surah. The surah talks about the wonders in life that we were given by Allah, and why are we not going to appreciate him and be grateful after everything he has given us.
I hoped this answer opened up everyone’s mind, and I hope that we can all understand Islam from yet another perspective. Islam is not about statistics, it’s not about control, it’s about happiness and appreciation. It’s about respect and surrendering yourself to God.(Concluded)
