Kohima/Imphal, Aug 9: Assam Rifles under the Spear Corps organised a series of youth and community outreach programmes across Nagaland and Manipur to commemorate 150 years of Vande Mataram and promote the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign.

At Tuensang in Nagaland, a Tiranga Rally was organised to celebrate patriotism and encourage citizens, particularly young people, to express their pride in the National Flag. The rally brought together members of the local community in a spirited display of national unity and commitment.
The event also highlighted the enduring significance of the Tricolour as a symbol of India's unity, diversity and shared national identity. Participants carried the National Flag and joined the outreach initiative aimed at strengthening patriotic sentiment ahead of Independence Day.
In Manipur, Assam Rifles conducted awareness and outreach activities across Sangaithel, Nambol, Komlakhong, Waroiching, Wainam and Keithelmanbi.
The programmes brought together citizens, students and teachers, providing a platform to discuss the significance of the National Flag, the legacy of Vande Mataram and the broader message of national unity.
The outreach activities sought to encourage young people to actively participate in Independence Day celebrations and develop a deeper understanding of the values associated with the Tricolour. Students and community members were encouraged to reaffirm their commitment to unity, harmony and responsible citizenship.
