Srinagar, Jan 16: The Traffic Police of Srinagar City has issued an advisory urging commuters and devotees to avoid roadside parking on the Srinagar–Hazratbal Road ahead of Shab-e-Mehraj to prevent traffic congestion.

Deputy Superintendent of Police (Traffic) Mehboob Ahmad warned that vehicles parked on the roadside and obstructing traffic will be removed without notice. He emphasized that vehicles should only be parked in designated parking areas.
Authorities have suggested devotees, particularly those coming from north Kashmir, use the Qamarwari–Ali Jan–Lal Bazar route to ease traffic on the main stretch. Adequate traffic personnel have been deployed to manage the expected crowds and ensure smooth movement of both devotees and general commuters.
The public has been requested to cooperate with traffic officials to ensure safe and uninterrupted observance of the religious occasion.
