It is celebrated on 10th of the twelfth and final month of the Islamic calendar. The primary acts of worship on Eid al Adha, the Eid prayer and offering sacrifice (Qurbani). The reality of sacrifice and it's spirit, Allah Almighty has mentioned it in Holy Quran, "Allah would not reach the blood or meat, but piety reaches him from you. Remember, neither the meat nor blood of these sacrifice reaches Allah, what reaches Him is only your piety (I,e, the goodness of your heart) Allam Iqbal has explained it in this way, "was it the blessing of sight or the miracle of the school, who taught Ismael the etiquette of childhood " There is a thought provoking Hadith about the reason for sacrifice . Abu Huraira said, The Messenger of Allah ((PBUH PBUH)said, "he who finds an hour does not get clear, so do not come to near to our prayer. In this hadith Syedna Abu Huraira narrates that prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said, whoever has the capacity of sacrifice but not sacrifice then he should not come to our Eidgah. In another hadith Syeda Aishia Saddiqah said, that prophet Muhammad (PBUH)said there is no deed more beloved to Allah than shedding of blood on the day of sacrifice for a person, because it with hair and horns on the day of Resurrection it will come and indeed, before the blood falls on ground, the house of acceptance acceptance with Allah, so make your hearts happy with this good news, that means when person offers it in the way of Allah by shedding the blood of sacrifice on the day of Eid Adha, the deed is considered beloved to Allah. Significance of sacrifice is ,that sharing the sacrifice meat among the poor people is not a cause for disturbance, but rather as core aspect of celebration and a significant act of charity and social support. The meat is specifically divided and given to poor and needy, often those who have no access to throughout the year , as part of the festival religious tradition. This practice fulllfills a religious obligation and promotes social interaction and brotherhood, this strengths community bonds and foster a sense of compassion and solidarity. Eid ul Adha commemorates the prophet Ibrahims willingness to sacrifice his son for Allah. The act of sacrifice and subsequent of distribution of meat are seen as acts of obedience and piety. The real sacrifice was the conversation between father and son (Abraham and Ismael )the sacrifice of Dhunbah was its ransom, but we have remembered Dhumbah ,but we have forgotten the conversation of father and son.
