Two held with contraband in Pulwama

 In continuation of its drive against drug abuse and trafficking, police have arrested two persons in Pulwama and seized significant quantity of contraband substance from their possession.

A Police party during naka checking at Marvel near petrol pump noticed two suspicious persons, carrying a Nylon bag. On noticing the police party, both attempted to flee from the spot but were tactfully apprehended. During search, over 7 Kgs of semi-grinded cannabis-like substance was recovered from the nylon bag. They have been identified as Khursheed Ahmad Sofi son of Ab Gani Sofi resident of Brari Gund Budgam, A/P Lelhar Kakapora and Raju son of Ash Mohd resident of Shanti Badi Bagdi Para Road, Badartala, Kolkata, West Bengal. Both the accused have been arrested and shifted to police station where they remain in custody.
Accordingly, a case FIR No. 81/2025 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Kakapora and further investigation is underway.
