The annual Urs Mubarak of Hazrat Mir Syed Hussain Simnani (RA) concluded in the historic town of Kulgam with immense devotion and spiritual fervor. Throughout the day, the sacred courtyard of the revered shrine resonated with recitations of Durood, Azkar, Naat, and Manqabat, as devotees from across the Valley participated in large numbers.

A special Majlis-e-Zikr-o-Durood was held in the shrine’s courtyard after Zuhr prayers, while a soulful night-long session of Shab Khwani (night vigil) following Maghrib prayers filled the atmosphere with spirituality and divine fragrance. Devotees remained engaged in prayers and remembrance, seeking blessings and spiritual enlightenment through the night.
Among the special guests was noted writer and scholar Hameed ullah Hameed, President of Mahfil Bahar-e-Adab Shahurah (Pulwama), who had earlier served as an Information Department officer in Kulgam for five years. Various delegations met him and appreciated his literary contributions, particularly the chapter on Hazrat Mir Syed Simnani (RA) and Kulgam’s historical and cultural heritage in his 2018 book“Gulshan-e-Kashmir.”
Former President of the Auqaf Committee, Haji Mohammad Jahangir Bhat, told the media that significant improvements had been made in cleanliness, lighting, and infrastructural arrangements around the shrine to ensure a smooth experience for the devotees.
Throughout the day, Saimana Bazaar remained abuzz with activity and festive fervor, while adequate arrangements for electricity and other facilities were maintained during the night. After the night-long spiritual gatherings, a large number of devotees gathered at dawn for the Ziyarat (viewing) of the sacred relics of Hazrat Mir Syed Hussain Simnani (RA) and Hazrat Mir Haider Rahmani (RA).
The district administration of Kulgam had made comprehensive arrangements for security, traffic management, lighting, water supply, and sanitation. Devotees and locals expressed gratitude for the smooth conduct of the event, describing it as a beautiful reflection of spirituality, discipline, and communal harmony.
