The tourist resort town of Sonamarg in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district and the upper areas of Gulmarg received light snow, the MeT officials said.
They said there was light snowfall at some other areas in higher reaches, including Zojila, and Sadhna Top in Kupwara.
Some places in the Valley also received light rain.

Srinagar recorded a low of 2.5 degrees Celsius, rising from minus 1.2 degrees yesterday, the MeT official said.
Qazigund recorded a low of 0.8 degrees Celsius while Pahalgam registered 3.2 degrees.
The ski resort of Gulmarg in north Kashmir recorded a low of minus 0.5 degrees Celsius while Kupwara registered 2.1 degrees.
In Kokernag in south Kashmir, the night temperature settled at 2.4 degrees Celsius.
The Met official said there is a possibility of light rain or snow at isolated places in the higher reaches while the weather will remain mainly dry afterwards till the end of the month.
According to the MeT, the region will experience cloudy skies and light precipitation on November 24 and December 1, while the rest of the period is likely to remain dry.
“Generally cloudy with light rain or light snow in higher reaches is expected at isolated places till forenoon of November 24,” it said.
The MeT forecast light rain and snowfall in higher altitudes are anticipated from the late night of November 30 to the morning hours of December 1.
