With an aim to "Spread the idea of Sportsmanship" amongst youth in complete, Sector AoR, all Batallions of Pohrupet Sector Headquarters initiated a drive to make Volleyball Courts in several villages falling under their Area of Responsibility.
A total of 25 Volleyball Courts in each Batallion Area of Responsibility was prepared by the Sports and Youth Clubs.
Ashim Kamath, a sports enthusiast, Kashmir lover and CEO of Akaar Founders Pvt Ltd donated Volleyball nets and Volleyballs to the Sports Clubs.
To enhance the sportsman spirit amongst the youth, Volleyball Day was celebrated on 14 May 2022 throughout the villages under Pohrupet Sector Area. Volleyball matches were played on 100 Courts in different areas at the same time among various teams.
The locals of the area exhibited immense response and expressed that such events will prove to be instrumental in channelising the youth constructively.
