The grateful nation is celebrating the fifth anniversary of the abrogation of article 370.It was five years back and exactly on 5th August 2019,that the parliament of India enacted resolution to end article 370 of the constitution of India .In this respect ,democratically ,lawfully and constitutionally through the constitutional amendment ,the controversial and superfluous article 370 was scrapped and annulled and it was a great achievement of the 21st century India and also of the Modi’s NDA government which was committed to abrogation of the article 370 and so it scrapped it in the national interest and dismantled the artificial walls of distrust ,mistrust and discrimination as this article made Jammu and Kashmir a special state and thus accorded it a special status and so encouraged discrimination which was very unfortunate .

Abrogation of controversial article 370 of the constitution of India on 5th August was the watershed development in the independent history of India including the history of its inseparable part the Jammu and Kashmir. .The scrapping of article 370 was a historical development and epoch making .The removal of article 370 removed and erased the artificial barriers between the Jammu and Kashmir and rest of India .Thus wall of distrust and mistrust were removed by scrapping article 370 and Jammu and Kashmir became an integral part and parcel of India . There is no doubt in it that Jammu and Kashmir fully integrated with India on August 5,2019 and therefore the decision to abrogate article 370 was in national interest and it will strengthen the bonds and relations between Jammu and Kashmir and the rest of India and thus it was a significant development as it will pave the way not only for the total and full integration of J&K with India ,but will result in the huge investment in the industrial development of Jammu and Kashmir .
The scrapping of article 370 resulted in the tremendous and huge investment activity in the union territory .The big corporate houses of India and abroad are making investment in the economy of Jammu and Kashmir and the floodgates of investment led to increase in the employment opportunities in the UT and this helped in providing much need and badly required employment in Jammu and Kashmir and this is a big favor to the youth of this UT .In fact the abrogation of the article 370 resulted in fast economic and social development of J&K .The erasing of the article 370 brought about positive and encouraging change and development in the UT .It resulted in much needed peace ,security ,tranquility and normalcy which ensured fast socio-economic development in Jammu and Kashmir .The killings ,violence ,kidnappings are now a history and this is no ordinary development but it is very significant .The Hartals ,bands ,stone pelting are non- existent and are the things of the past
It was Modi government which abrogated the article 370 of the constitution of India and this paved the way for the total and fuller integration of the UT of Jammu & Kashmir with Indian Union. Thus Modi created a history by abrogating article 370 and it resulted in the flow of the floodgates of investment in Jammu and Kashmir as all the inhibitions to investment because of article 370 were removed and the investors Indian and foreign found Jammu and Kashmir a good ground for making investment and this lead to the massive economic and industrial development of Jammu and Kashmir, as so much has changed in Jammu and Kashmir since the abrogation of article 370.The government ,political parties and the people are feeling jubilant and proud and are celebrating the fifth anniversary of the historical feat of the abrogation of article 370.It is really a moment of great pride that the controversial article 370 had been done away with by the bold NDA government .
We are celebrating the fifth anniversary of the abrogation of article 370 with great pomp and show and the best way to celebrate the anniversary of article 370 is to make people aware of the benefits of the abrogation of article 370.This great and epoch making event should be celebrated at the government level ,party level and at the level of the common man .There is discernable improvement in the situation so far as the militancy is concerned and to a vast extant peace ,tranquility has returned to the terrorist ravaged Jammu and Kashmir .The militants and terrorists are on the run and people are in favor of change, peace and development .People by and large are roaming freely late at night in terrorist infested Kashmir and the shops ,business establishments remain open even at the late night and this has become possible because of the abrogation of article 370.For the first time since the eruption of militancy in Jammu and Kashmir read Kashmir ,the people have voted in very large numbers and have taken active part in the just concluded Lok Sabha elections .
The voter turnout in all the phases of the crucial Lok sabha elections was significant which was more than sixty percent and all this has become possible because of the abrogation of article 370.The high voter turnout in the parliamentary elections points to the fact that there is change for better in Jammu and Kashmir and people are feeling contented because the LG government and the central government of Modi cares for the people of Jammu and Kashmir and hitherto alienation among people has come to an end .Five years after the centre abrogated special status of Jammu and Kashmir under article 370 on August 5,2019,restoration of peace and developmental activities taking place ,compared to the past ,stands out as its most significant achievement .It is after more than three decades ,time that public and social life in the erstwhile state ,in general and the valley in particular ,are back to normal routine without disruption .While 124 civilians were killed at the hands of police and security forces during protests and stone pelting incidents from 5-8-2016 to 5-8 2019,not a single such incident was reported in the last five years as per the official figures.
