Week-long Online International Workshop/FDP on “Recent Research Trends in Information Technology” organised by Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) in collaboration with Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT) West Bengal concluded here on Friday. The Workshop received around 500 registrations with participants from countries like India, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Malaysia, and Turkey. The participants primarily included research scholars and faculty members. The programme was organised by the committee which included Dr. Assif Assad (I/C Head, Dept. of CSE, IUST), Dr. Zubair Ahmad Shah (Asst. Professor, Dept. of CSE, IUST) and Dr. Ahsan Hussain (Asst. Prof., Deptt. of CSE, IUST).

Earlier the programme started with welcome Address by Dr. Assif Assad followed by an inaugural speech of Vice Chancellor IUST, Prof. Mushtaq A. Siddiqi, Vice Chancellor MAKAUT-West Bangal, Prof. Saikat Maitra and Dean School of Engineering & Technology-IUST, Prof. A. H. Moon.

The resource persons for the Workshop/FDP included Prof. M. M. Sufyan Beg from Aligarh Muslim University, Prof. R. Balasubramanian  from IIT Roorkee, Prof. Kusum Deep from IIT Roorkee, Dr. Jagdish C. Bansal from South Asian University, Dr. Purushothama B. R. from NIT Goa, Dr. Zubair Ahmad Shah and Mr. Rayees Ahmad Dar from IUST Awantipora. The programme concluded with a very positive feedback from participants.
