
Itanagar, Jan 12: Assam Rifles organised a Winter Camp at Assam Rifles Public School, Khonsa, Arunachal Pradesh, from 06 January 2026 to 09 January 2026, as part of its sustained efforts to engage youth and contribute to their holistic development. The four-day camp brought together 150 students from various schools in and around Khonsa, providing them with a structured and inspiring environment focused on learning, discipline and personal growth.
The Winter Camp was designed to instil essential life skills among young participants by promoting physical fitness, self-discipline, leadership qualities and teamwork. A wide range of activities were conducted, including physical training sessions, team-building exercises, sports events and basic drills, which encouraged students to develop endurance, coordination and a sense of collective responsibility.
In addition to physical activities, the camp placed strong emphasis on character building and moral values. Interactive sessions, motivational talks and group discussions were organised to guide students on topics such as discipline, respect, integrity, time management and the importance of positive life choices. Assam Rifles personnel shared their own experiences, inspiring students through real-life examples of courage, service and commitment.
