Baramulla, April 26: Minister for Health and Education Sakina Itoo on Sunday warned that no officer found accepting bribes would be spared, asserting a zero-tolerance policy against corruption in the Union Territory.
The warning comes days after the government attached a senior education officer in Baramulla district following complaints of corruption.
"If there is any information against any officer, especially for bribery, action will be taken. That officer will not be left like this," Itoo told reporters on the sidelines of a function at the Government Degree College for Women here.
She said the National Conference government led by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah is committed to transparency and will act on every complaint received.
The minister reiterated that the government would not shield any officer facing bribery complaints.
