
In connection with the World Labor Day, celebrations were held across the valley. In this connection a festive event was held in Srinagar's Tagore Hall, chaired by the leading broadcaster, writer, and poet Abdul Ahad Farhad. The ceremony was organized by J&K Academy Of Art Culture and Languages in collaboration with Sufi Cultural Forum Srinagar. Kashmir Sufi Cultural Society Srinagar. Former Deputy Development Commissioner and social worker Farooq Renzo Shah attended the ceremony as the guest of honour, while Syed Humayun Qaiser former head of the all India radio Srinagar and Wajahat Hussain Durani attended the ceremony. Additional Secretary of the Cultural Academy, Adeel Saleem and Zahir Ahmed attended the event as host. The ceremony began with the recitation of the Holy Scriptures, which was received by Farooq Ibn Guldun. Additional Secretary of the Cultural Academy, Adeel Saleem, welcomed the guests and highlighted the World Labor Day. Speakers at the ceremony highlighted the issues facing workers around the world, citing the importance and utility of World Labor and Labor Day. At the end of the ceremony, a musha-e-ra was also organized in which many prominent poets in the valley described the conditions of the laborers in their poetry by lodging different aspects of life. Among the poets who participated in the poem are well -known journalists, writers, writers and poet Rashid Rahil, Manzoor Damdar, Mir Zahir, Engineer Shabnam Bashir, Shah Kumar, Faqir Sultan Nago, Abdul Majid Butt, Faqir Mohammad Abdullah and renowned journalist Nazim Nazir. Several prominent writers, intellectuals and writers attended the ceremony, including Dildar Ashraf Shah, Abdul Rashid Wado, Majrooh, Jan Mohammad, Gulfam Barji and Syed Iftikhar of Cultural Academy. The ceremony was hosted by Dr. Shabnam Rafiq of the Cultural Academy.
