Srinagar, Aug 4: A promising young taekwondo player from Srinagar has appealed for financial support after earning the opportunity to represent Jammu and Kashmir at the upcoming National Taekwondo Championship in Pune, Maharashtra.

Ghazi Lone, son of Irshad Rashid Lone and a resident of Nowgam Bypass, Srinagar, has been selected to compete at the prestigious national-level championship, marking a significant milestone in his sporting journey.
A Class XI student of Birla Open Minds International School, Pampore, Ghazi has been pursuing taekwondo with dedication while balancing his academic commitments. His selection to represent the Union Territory at the national championship reflects his talent, hard work and determination.
However, despite securing a place in the competition, Ghazi now faces a financial hurdle. As a student, he and his family are finding it difficult to meet the expenses related to travel, accommodation, registration and other participation costs required for the championship in Pune.
