Srinagar, July 6: A 22-year-old youth sustained critical injuries after the scooty he was riding skidded off the road near Nishat Crossing in Srinagar on Monday, officials said.

The accident occurred at Ashram Mohalla near Nishat Crossing after the rider reportedly lost control of the two-wheeler, causing it to skid on the road.
The injured was identified as Faizan Fayaz, son of Fayaz Ahmad Anchari, a resident of Rainawari, Srinagar.
Officials said the injured youth suffered a severe head injury and was rushed to SMHS Hospital, where he is undergoing treatment. His condition is stated to be critical.
Police have taken cognizance of the incident, while further investigation is underway.
