As part of its ongoing efforts to promote sports and physical education among school children, the Department of Youth Services and Sports Ganderbal, under the leadership of DYSSO Sheikh Shafqat Iqbal, organized a thrilling Inter-School Zonal Level Volleyball competition for Girls Under-17 in Zone Hariganiwan.The event was hosted at High School Sumbal Bala and witnessed enthusiastic participation from nearly 60 girl students representing six schools of the zone.
The competition was marked by high energy and competitive spirit, culminating in an exciting final match between the host team HS Sumbal Bala and BHSS Gund. Both teams displayed commendable teamwork and resilience, but it was BHSS Gund that emerged victorious, winning the final by 2-1 sets.The audience was treated to an engaging match filled with skillful serves, powerful spikes, and intense rallies.
The Headmaster of BHS Gund graced the occasion as the chief guest.He interacted with the budding athletes, lauded their sportsmanship, and encouraged them to continue pursuing excellence in both academics and athletics.
