Shopian, Oct 12: Under the aegis of the Civic Action Programme (CAP), J&K Police in Shopian organised a Knockout T10 Cricket Tournament at Batapora Stadium, Shopian. The tournament concluded with an impressive and colourful closing ceremony.

The final match was played between Paradise Cricket Club Shopian and Zawoora 11, in which Zawoora 11 emerged victorious in a thrilling contest. During the closing ceremony, SSP Shopian Sh Mushtaq Ahmad Choudhary-JKPS, distributed cash prizes and trophies among the winners and runners-up, appreciating the efforts of all participating teams for making the tournament a grand success. The event witnessed a large gathering of spectators, sports enthusiasts and members of the local community from adjoining areas.
Addressing the participants, SSP Shopian assured continuous support from Police and reiterated their commitment to organising more such inclusive sporting events in the future, aimed at promoting confidence, youth engagement and social integration within the community.
