The inter-zone sports event organised by the District Youth Services and Sports office Bandipora concluded here smoothly.
During the event, under-17 football games for four educational zones of Hajin, Sumbal Quilmuqam and zone Bandipora were organized.
Students under the age group of 17 belonging to different schools participated with great fervour and emotions.
In first level competition, zone Quilmuqam defeated Zone Bandipora and in the second zone Hajin defeated Sumbal zone. Final competition was witnessed between Quilmuqam and Hajin zones in which zone Hajin bagged first position.
The DYSS Officer encouraged participants during the interaction and mentioned that sports activities are prerequisite for the cognitive development of the students alongside their physical well being.
He assured every possible support, guidance and coaching to interested students from the district office.
