Police cracks down on rash driving: 35 vehicles seized in Baramulla

In order to curb traffic violations and to ensure road safety for law-abiding citizens, police in Baramulla seized 35 vehicles besides, booked 58 violators for rash and negligent driving. The comprehensive drive was launched on the direction of SSP Baramulla Shri Mohammad Zaid Malik-JKPS.

During the drive, 35 vehicles (Tippers and Dumpers) involved in rash driving and driving without documents were confiscated. Moreover, 58 violators were booked for rash and negligent driving as well as driving without documents. Subsequently, cases under relevant sections of law were registered against them at concerned police stations.

The police action is part of a broader effort to tackle persistent traffic violations. By registering cases under relevant sections of law and conducting investigations, Police seeks to deter future violators. Citizens have praised Police's efforts to maintain safe movement on roads and public places. The police have reaffirmed their commitment to continue such drives to keep traffic violations in check.
