
Imphal, July 5: Reinforcing its commitment to the welfare of former servicemen, the Assam Rifles under the Spear Corps organised an Ex-Servicemen Meet at Modi in Manipur, bringing together 59 veterans for an interactive programme focused on their welfare and well-being.
The event provided a platform for meaningful interaction between serving personnel and ex-servicemen, strengthening the enduring bond between the force and its veteran fraternity while acknowledging their invaluable service to the nation.
During the meeting, officials discussed various welfare initiatives and government schemes available for veterans. Special emphasis was laid on healthcare facilities, pension-related assistance, documentation support, and the prompt redressal of grievances to ensure that retired personnel continue to receive the benefits and support they deserve.
