Jammu, April 12: The Jammu & Kashmir Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) held its State Office Bearers’ Meeting at the party headquarters in Trikuta Nagar, Jammu, focusing on organisational strengthening, grassroots outreach, and upcoming political programmes.

The meeting was attended by senior party leaders including BJP National General Secretary and J&K Prabhari Tarun Chugh, J&K BJP President & MP Sat Sharma, General Secretary (Organisation) Ashok Koul, Union Minister Jitendra Singh, MP Jugal Kishore Sharma, and former Deputy Chief Minister Nirmal Singh. The proceedings were conducted by Gopal Mahajan.

During the meeting, Tarun Chugh stressed ideological commitment and strengthening the party at the booth level. He called for regular organisational meetings at all levels—booth, Shakti Kendra, Mandal, district, and state—to ensure coordination and sustained public engagement. He also emphasised increased “Pravas” by leaders to deepen connect with the masses, describing BJP as a movement rooted in nationalist ideology.

Sat Sharma highlighted accountability and the need for timely completion of organisational structures, including Morchas and Cells. He underscored the Modi government’s development initiatives, particularly women-led empowerment in Jammu & Kashmir.

Ashok Koul reviewed organisational activities, including Mandal Prashikshan Vargs, Foundation Day programmes, Gram Chalo Abhiyan, and preparations for Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Jayanti, noting that around 258 training programmes are nearing completion.

Dr. Jitendra Singh praised the party’s organisational strength in J&K and urged leaders to stay prepared for future challenges while effectively communicating development achievements.

MP Jugal Kishore Sharma described the political resolution as a roadmap for future action, while Dr. Nirmal Singh termed office bearers a vital link between the party and the public.

Sunil Sethi, who presented the political resolution, said suggestions from office bearers would be incorporated into the final document, marking the meeting as a key step in strengthening the party’s organisational outreach in the Union Territory.
