In solidarity with the families of innocent people who lost their lives in recent blasts in Delhi and Srinagar, the Central University of Kashmir (CUKashmir) organised condolence meetings across all its campuses here on Monday.
All members of the university fraternity including authorities, administrators, faculty, staff, scholars and students joined the condolence meeting at their respective campuses held around 3:00 PM.
The entire university community observed two-minute silence, offering prayers for peace to the deceased and healing, and strength to their families.
University fraternity expressed profound grief and sorrow over the tragic events and extended condolences to the bereaved families. “Moments like these remind us that every life is precious, and violence achieves nothing except sorrow. As an academic community, it is our duty to reinforce the values of peace, tolerance, and humanity,” the participants said, adding, that “we stand united in grief with every affected family that has suffered an unimaginable loss. May the departed souls find eternal peace and may the injured recover at an earliest.”
