
Department of Management Studies (DMS), Central University of Kashmir (CUKashmir), organised an online extension lecture on “AI in HR” for the students of MBA 2nd Semester, MBA 4th Semester, and BBA(H) 4th Semester.
The lecture was delivered by alumni, Mr. Kamraan Khan, Human Resource professional with over 13 years of experience across leading organisations in India and the UAE.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Mushtaq Lone, Head of the Department, emphasised the significance of such academic and industry-oriented initiatives in enhancing students’ practical understanding and professional exposure. He stated that the Department would continue organising the alumni lecture series for the benefit of students and to strengthen alumni-academia engagement.
Mr. Khan has worked with reputed companies including Amazon, Noon, Landmark Group, ACKO, Life Healthcare, and Coal India, where he contributed extensively to workforce planning, talent management, and HR transformation initiatives.
Currently based in Dubai, he is building an AI-native Human Resource Management System through his venture, *ZaitoonHR*, aimed at supporting small and medium-sized enterprises.
During the lecture, Mr. Khan shared valuable insights into the evolving role of Artificial Intelligence in Human Resource Management, discussing how AI is transforming recruitment, employee engagement, workforce analytics, and organisational decision-making. He highlighted the opportunities and challenges associated with integrating AI into HR practices. The lecture provided students with practical exposure to contemporary HR practices and industry expectations in an increasingly AI-driven environment.
