Poonch, Sep 14: Director General of Police, Jammu and Kashmir, Nalin Prabhat on Monday reviewed the security situation and ongoing anti-terror operations in Poonch district.

The DGP, accompanied by Inspector General of Police, Jammu Zone, Tejinder Singh, took stock of the operations and the security measures in place across the district, officials said.

Senior officers briefed the police chief on the latest developments, operational preparedness and the coordination among various security forces and agencies deployed in the area.

The security review comes amid heightened vigilance in the Pir Panjal region following recent attempts at infiltration and reports of movement of Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists.

The DGP also reviewed the ongoing efforts to track the suspected terrorists and strengthen the security grid in the district.
