Srinagar, Oct 10: Chief Minister on Saturday addressed the School Leader of the Year 2026 Summit and Awards in New Delhi, highlighting the need to make education more relevant to the challenges of the future.

The summit brought together prominent educators and school leaders from across the country to recognise excellence, innovation and effective leadership in school education.

Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister said that education must go beyond examination results and prepare students for real-life challenges. He stressed the importance of developing critical thinking, digital literacy, adaptability and a sense of shared responsibility among young learners.

He also emphasised that meaningful reforms in education require coordinated efforts by governments, educators, educational institutions and communities to help young people become confident, skilled and responsible citizens.

The summit also recognised school leaders for their notable contributions towards improving educational standards and promoting innovation in the school education sector.
