
Srinagar, Oct 11: The Meteorological Centre Srinagar has forecast heavy rainfall in Jammu division until Sunday afternoon, with weather conditions expected to improve later in the day.
According to the latest weather forecast, October 12 is likely to remain generally dry across Jammu and Kashmir.
From October 13 to 15, skies are expected to remain generally cloudy, with light rainfall at several places. Higher-altitude areas may receive light snowfall, while thunderstorms and gusty winds are also likely.
October 16 is expected to remain mostly dry, although a brief spell of light rain may occur at a few places. Dry weather is likely to prevail across the Union Territory from October 17 to 23.
Meanwhile, the Meteorological Centre has advised farmers to continue harvesting activities and ensure the safe storage of harvested apples and paddy.
The department has also cautioned about the possibility of thunderstorms and gusty winds on October 11 and Octobe
r 13 and 14.
