
Srinagar, August 19: The High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh has announced a change in its working calendar, declaring August 26, 2026, a holiday and December 19, 2026, a working day.
According to a notification issued by the Office of the Registrar General on August 18, August 25, which was earlier listed as a holiday for Eid-i-Milad-un-Nabi (SAW), will now be observed as a non-sitting day for the High Court.
In lieu of the adjustment, Wednesday, August 26, has been declared a holiday.
The notification further states that Saturday, December 19, which had earlier been designated as a non-sitting day under a High Court order issued on June 19, 2026, will now be observed as a working day.
The change has been made as part of the adjustment to the court calendar in lieu of August 25.
The notification was issued for the information of all concerned.
