Played before an enthusiastic crowd, the exhibition match showcased the growing stature of women's football in the state, with both teams displaying exceptional skill, discipline and determination. Despite several scoring opportunities, neither side could break the deadlock during regulation time, forcing the contest into penalties where Kangla Warriors held their nerve to clinch the victory.
The event was more than just a football match. It served as a tribute to Manipur's pioneering women footballers, whose remarkable contributions have helped establish the state as one of India's strongest football nurseries. The legends were felicitated in recognition of their invaluable role in promoting women's football and inspiring generations of young athletes.
Adding another dimension to the celebration, the organisers also honoured the Super 50, Bishnupur achievers for their outstanding performance in the NEET and JEE examinations. The successful students were felicitated for their academic excellence, highlighting the importance of balancing sporting achievements with educational success.

With the successful conclusion of the exhibition event, attention has now turned to the grand opening ceremony at Khuman Lampak Stadium, where football enthusiasts are expected to witness a colourful cultural showcase before the tournament officially gets underway.
The inaugural fixture will feature a highly anticipated encounter between TRAU FC and NEROCA FC, two of Manipur's premier football clubs with a rich sporting rivalry. Organisers expect the opening match to attract a large turnout of fans and mark the beginning of another exciting chapter in the state's vibrant football culture.
