Samba, September 24: A 30-year-old man was injured in a late-night firing incident reported from the Tarore area of Bari Brahmana in Samba district, officials said on Wednesday.
The incident took place near a tea stall, where two to three rounds were reportedly fired. During the firing, Vishal Singh, alias Vishu, son of Narinder Singh of Rahya area in Vijaypur, suffered an injury to his leg.
The injured man was subsequently taken to AIIMS Vijaypur for medical treatment.
Police have registered a case in connection with the incident and initiated an investigation. Officials said efforts are underway to establish the sequence of events and determine the identity and involvement of those responsible for the firing.
