
India wins 9 medals including two gold
According to the information given by Mr. NK Tripathi, President of Madhya Pradesh Wushu Sangh, Vishwamitra Awardee, Secretary of Madhya Pradesh Wushu Sangh, Sarika Gupta was the chief coach of the Indian Wushu team in the 11th Asian Junior Wushu Competition. Under his training and guidance, the Indian Wushu team participated in this competition and India won a total of 9 medals including two gold. He told that Sarika is the coach of the Indian Wushu team since 2007, as well as the coach of Madhya Pradesh's Wushu team, which has won the maximum number of medals in Wushu sports in national competitions. Under his guidance, Madhya Pradesh has won the maximum number of medals in Wushu in the last three National Games. Tanya Jatav of Madhya Pradesh was also involved in this competition and she performed well and got 6th position.
According to the information given by Mr. Jitendra Bajwa, President of the Indian Wushu Association, about 380 players from 28 countries across Asia participated in the 11th Asian Junior Wushu Competition held in Macau China from 14 to 21 August 2023 and the disciplines of Wushu among themselves were Sanda and Competed in Taolu. In this competition, a total of 32 members team from India country, team leader CEO Suhail Ahmed along with 25 players, 4 coaches (Sarika Gupta, Chaobi, Manoj Chauhan, Chirag Sharma, ) Dr. Rajesh Gupta, and Judge Abhilash Saxena's team Had come to participate. India has won a total of 9 medals including two gold, one silver, 6 bronze medals in this event. Sports Minister Mr. Anurag Thakur, Minister Mr. Nishit Pramanik, Patron of Wushu Federation of India Mr. Bhupendra Singh Bajwa, President Mr. Jitendra Bajwa, Secretary Vijay Saraf, Dronacharya awardee Mr. Kuldeep Handu, officials of Sports Authority of India, Project Officer Mr. Kishan Kumar, along with all the office bearers of Indian Wushu Sangh expressed their happiness and sent their best wishes and congratulations.
