
Ganderbal, August 21: An 18-year-old youth from Srinagar is feared drowned after reportedly slipping into Nallah Sindh while taking a bath near Dumping Park at Kijpara in the Kangan area of Ganderbal district on Friday.
The youth has been identified as Danish Bilal, son of Bilal Ahmad Hajam, a resident of Hafiz Bagh near Kashmir University in Srinagar.
According to reports, the incident occurred while Danish was bathing in the waterway. He reportedly slipped and was swept away by the flowing water.
Following the incident, police personnel from Kangan, along with local residents, reached the spot and launched a search operation to trace the missing youth.
Search and rescue efforts were underway when the report was filed. Further details regarding the incident and the search operation are awaited.
