Srinagar, Jan 20: A fresh spell of snowfall in Kashmir on Friday disrupted the operations at the only civilian airport in Sringara, officials said.
An official at the airport said that several morning flights at the Srinagar International Airport were delayed due to low visibility.
Director Srinagar Airport Kuldeep Singh said that since early morning all flights were delayed due to poor visibility. "The flights operations were started around 10: 30 now following improvement in the weather," he said.
“No flight was cancelled due to weather. All flights scheduled on Friday suffered delays but there were no cancellations," he added.
Parts of Jammu and Kashmir received fresh snowfall on Friday even as the weather department has also forecast more rain and snowfall during the next few days.
