
Department of Information Technology, School of Engineering, Central University of Kashmir, (CUKashmir) organized an online expert lecture on Agentic AI on Saturday, under the patronage of Vice Chancellor, Prof. A. Ravinder Nath.
The lecture was delivered by Er. Vikas Tandon, Director and Senior Solutions Architect at S&P Global, having over 18 years of experience in the fintech sector. Speaking on the occasion, Er. Tandon explained how Agentic AI enables systems to take autonomous, goal-driven actions to solve complex business problems, particularly in financial technology. He emphasized its role in enhancing automation, ensuring security, and driving innovation in the industry.
Welcoming Er. Vikas Tandon, Dr. Yash Paul, Coordinator, Deptt of IT, introduced the lecture theme. Tayumum, a B.Tech 7th semester student conducted the event which witnessed the presence of faculty members, including Dr. Zahoor and Dr. Shahid Sultan, research scholars, students, and professionals from diverse backgrounds. The lecture concluded with an engaging discussion on the future of AI and its expanding impact across multiple domains. Senior faculty member, Er. Afaq Alam Khan proposed the vote of thanks.
